Art Jewels

My Art Jewels are characterized by a clear authorship. Each piece is a true unique item, marked by high artistic standards. Innovation, the creation and transfer of new experiences, the repeated challenge to the viewer, the potential wearer - these are the parameters that lead me to these works.

Through intensive debates and discovery processes, I develop new series, new methods, ways of thinking and acting in dealing with materials. The starting point is initially themes, thoughts, ideas that are worth thinking about: touches, sensations, transience. At first, everything takes place in the mind and on paper, before it gradually manifests itself in space.

Art Jewels Series

What does a person feel when an insect lands on their skin? My jewelry pieces are in contact with the skin, worn directly on and against the body. Felt by the wearer and perceived by others through this body-adorning touch.

My works are eye-catchers, ambivalent and challenging, demanding eye contact, while simultaneously carrying independent messages that remain open to the personal emotions of the wearer and the observer. They polarize in a play with ancient Egyptian myths and their expressive pure golden surface, and the naturalistic image of adornment shaped in Art Nouveau jewelry.

In their diversity, my organically inspired jewelry objects are always of radically sensual quality, regardless of whether one finds them attractive or repulsive. The apparent liveliness of my "Faithful Companions" stimulates our perception; one wants to touch these attractive formations, feel whether they are cold or warm, soft or hard; they challenge our senses.

In my work, I search for interfaces/tensions that trigger a simultaneous feeling of attraction and repulsion. These ambivalences are achieved through the extraordinary materiality and design of my jewelry works, which can sustainably produce substantive components through their vivid physicality.

The individual motifs and themes of my works continuously evolve, transform into new forms, seeking to characterize breaks and sensual stimuli. Jewelry is thereby completely redefined and understood as an ambiguous contact medium. It always contains a form of touch, a meeting of different contact levels that are interconnected in multiple layers and leave vivid impressions.
